A Pair and Hollyhocks

5,900.00

Size: 210/115 cm.
I began with the sketching of a pair of dancers, taken from the gallery of photographer Ashkan Roayaee alongside flowering hollyhocks, also known as the harvest rose – with the hypnotic flower and height and medicinal properties – signifying for me a bond with the earth and childhood memories.
Background properties: old printed pages, poetry, sheet music, a book of commentary on Psalms in English.
Materials: acrylic paint, old books, black ink, glue.
The art is on unframed canvas which can be stretched onto a wooden frame, or framed as is. (It is possible to reduce the size for framing.)
