We arrived at the rich and abundant studio of Keren, a special education team from Aviv High School in Raanana, to mark and celebrate the end of the school year. And it was indeed a celebration, for the eyes and the heart; The studio walls are decorated with her special and delicate works full of meaning and inspiring foundation. Shelves laden with all kinds of goodies, including hundreds of old books that house texts of various kinds that throw you straight into the past and connect to the history of the Land of Israel and of each and every one of us. Like finding a treasure chest or going into a candy store - it was hard to ignore the enthusiasm and joy of the creation that surrounded us. Each participant was given a canvas or wooden board of her choice and embarked on a personal journey between the pages. The texts and pictures we found or found us, were pulled out of their house and found their new abode on the work surface. The preoccupation with selection, disassembly, assembly and connection enabled an experience of creating a new story and giving each participant a unique and original meaning. After gluing, whoever wanted to painted in black ink an image of her choice that added more garnet and gave a personal imprint to the piece. Needless to say, the whole event was accompanied by pre-arranged parties, which closed the corner and made it a clearly multi-sensory experience!
